    fix: ci: Fix random pairwise CI job failures and detect named crashing on shutdown

    The pairwise CI job picked a random number to name the working directory for each build configuration, and roughly once in a hundred runs two configurations picked the same number, which made the job fail before it had tested anything. The job now numbers the configurations sequentially and cleans up after each one. It also checks that named shuts down cleanly when asked, so a crash during shutdown in any tested build configuration is now caught rather than ignored.
